This session will discuss the next two chapters of the seminar—”The Either/Or Concerning the Object” and “The Function of Splitting in Perversion”—focusing on Lacan’s continuing discussion of the structure of the fantasy and, in particular, the radical nature of female jealousy as well as the ways in which the neurotic ensures his/her desire remains impossible.

This session will feature a short presentation by Gabriela van den Hoven and an extended commentary of the chapters by Susana Huler.
