A Reading Seminar with Susana Huler on The Seminar of Jacques Lacan, Book VI: Desire & Its Interpretation (Chapters 21-22)
London Society Reading Seminar
Desire and its Interpretation – The Seminar of Jacques Lacan: Book VI
A Course of Seminars with Susana Huler
NEXT SESSION: Chapters XXI & XXII
This session will discuss the next two chapters of the seminar—”In the Form of a Cut” and “Cut and Fantasy”—focusing on Lacan’s continuing discussion of the structure of the fantasy and the cut inscribed in the subject’s relation to the object. Reading these chapters will allow us to ask: Can we know who we are? Are we reducible to our fantasies? What allows our desires to have some steadiness, and some direction towards the future?
This session will feature a short presentation by Evangelina Bailo and an extended commentary of the chapters by Susana Huler.
PLEASE NOTE: THIS TICKET IS FOR A ZOOM MEETING FOR WHICH YOU WILL RECEIVE A LINK ON THE EVENING BEFORE THE EVENT AND AT 1PM ON THE DAY.
